Montserrat Saturdays of Renewal
A life of faith requires courage of goodness. It is the courage to face your world and find your place, remaining centered in The Way of Jesus Christ. You are forever the pilgrim, journeying within your own humanity, and also hand-in-hand with those God gives you.
Montserrat Jesuit Retreat House offers help for the journey with Montserrat Saturdays of Renewal designed to form and inform your faith. On the first Saturday of the month, Montserrat offers a morning of reflection and renewal. The Jesuits and lay colleagues of Montserrat offer the day which includes prayer conferences, time for personal silent prayer, time for sharing, and closes with the celebration of the Eucharist. Those who have made silent retreats will find the morning a rich reminder, though anyone who needs peace and space, sharing and silence will gain a lot.
Each Saturday of Renewal begins at 9:00 am and concludes no later than 12:00 pm. We ask participants to register so we may properly prepare materials and space. Though there is no set fee for the day, we ask for a free will offering to help defray the costs of materials and facility use.
Join Fr. John Lan Tran, S.J. on Saturday, November 4th, from 9 AM to 12 PM.
The topic for the November Saturday of Renewal will be on "Ignatian Gratitude: A Fundamental Approach to Life."
Gratitude is the fundamental attitude in the Spiritual Exercises, for it underlies our basic approach to life, to God, and to each other. Gratitude has to do with being loved and responding to God's love with generosity, with openness, with being indifferent, and with finding divine joy. As we approach Thanksgiving, gratitude again surfaces in our reflection and it calls us to examine our way of seeing how we are called to live.
We will have refreshments available. Please REGISTER TODAY as space is limited.
